“The EU will make sure eurosceptic candidates are blocked from top jobs in Brussels regardless of the results of May’s election”, Breitbart quoted Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker as saying on April 30. A door to the top position of the EU institutions seems to be open for centre-right and centre-left politicians, such as Juncker and Jacques Delors.
How come? Have not we been told that right and left are opposite political directions and at the centre of political rivalries?
The answer to the question takes us to the roots of the current European integration process. It explains how the United States of Europe is a Common dream of multiculturalist left and corporatist right.
EU – a Socialist Dream
This unholy alliance between internationalist left and corporatist right is the foundation for the current European Union. In this puzzle, the left has got its multicultural dream and right has enabled big business to take control of the economy.
Almost all groups of the European Parliament are favouring policies driving mass migration from outside of Europe to the EU area, keeping EU external borders open and encouraging political islam to expand and spread its influence in Europe. That is the case for Angela Merkel’s EPP and Emmanuel Macron’s ALDE, as well as Socialists, Radical Left and Greens. Only nationalist groups ENF and EFDD, an to a smaller extent British Conservatives led ECR, oppose the open doors policy of Merkel, which eventually has led to the sunset of her political career.
What makes federalists to support migration policies that seem to weaken economies and security of EU member states? The answer is the dream about a European superpower, which is only possible through creation of a new European human being.
The cultural and linguistic division lines simultaneously hinder possibilities to command the whole continent from a single power centre. European nations and nation states are strong. So strong that they have to be weakened, think the EU federalists. One of the potential strategies to weaken European nations and nation states is mixing of populations of European nations, thus ensuring that they become rootless citizens of a wider political unit.
Like as a plan to fulfil these expectations, German architect Herman Sörgel (1885-1952) had proposed in the 1920s to create a European-African supercontinent, which he called as “Atlantropa”. Sörgel saw Atlantropa would also create a new European citizen, a superior human being, who would evolve through the consecutive generations’ concerted toil and effort to construct their new world.
Sörgel acknowledged that the realization of Atlantropa would take hundreds of years, during which all European thought and culture would be profoundly transformed by the great common project. Therefore, Sörgel had a very similar approach to Lenin and Stalin regarding the building of communism in Russia, which, according to them, would create a new Soviet human being. This new human being, for its part, would have been one step closer to the ultimate goal of creating the real rootless world citizen.
The current EU is for many the multicultural dream that the Soviet Union was before. There are abundantly traces that connect the EU to the Soviet Union. Vladimir Bukovsky, a former Soviet dissident, who was expelled to the West in 1976, has warned that the European Union is on its way to becoming another Soviet Union. In 1992 he was invited by the Russian government to serve as an expert testifying at the trial conducted to determine whether the Soviet Communist Party had been a criminal institution. To prepare for his testimony Bukovsky was granted access to a large number of documents from Soviet secret archives. According to Mr Bukovsky, these documents confirm the existence of a “conspiracy” to turn the European Union into a socialist organization.
Bukovsky says that the ultimate purpose of the Soviet Union was to create a new historic entity, the Soviet people, all around the globe. According to Bukovsky, the same is true in the EU, which is trying to create a new people, “Europeans”. In order to succeed in this goal, European existing nations had to be obliterated. Moreover, EU’s structures, ideologies being instilled, the plans, the direction and the inevitable expansion remind Bukovsky of the Soviet Union. Consequently, Bukovsky called the EU a “monster” that must be destroyed before it develops into a fullfledged totalitarian state.
Big Business’ Profits Drive EU Integration Forward
What makes the business-oriented right to support the EU construction, even though its bureaucratic functions seem to make the whole system inefficient and slow? This can be explained a deal in which the left gets its multicultural dream, whereas corporatist right is able to control the whole economic system.
Altiero Spinelli, a remarkable thinker behind European federalism, one of the main figures in the foundation of the European Federalist Movement, which combined the leftist federalism represented by him with right-wing federalism, which was represented e.g. by the founder of Fiat, Giovanni Agnelli. Agnelli had earlier published a book, in which he demanded the establishment of the United States of Europe. According to him, only by opening up frontiers to free trade and by abolishing customs walls Europeans could benefit from of their mutual division of work and locate factories where conditions of productions are the most advantageous.
The multinational corporations have created a transnational network of elites in order to maintain their power in the EU. European elites do not compete with other countries’ elites anymore. On the contrary, EU member states’ elites cooperate with each other against their own countries’ middle and labour classes. World Economic Forum, Bilderberg and Trilateral Commission are examples of platforms, which connect politicians, academics and journalists to super rich financial and corporate elites.
The European project makes it simpler for the big corporations to lobby. Instead of lobbying 28 parliaments, it is easier to lobby one lion fat bureaucratic system in Brussels. Nationalism versus globalism is the new “bi-polar world order”, not anymore capitalism vs. socialism. In order to lobby efficiently, big business has hired 30 000 lobbyists in Brussels. According to NGOs present in Brussels, four fifths of lobbyists aim to further interests of big business or financial markets.
Multinational corporations already run Brussels. A good example of this was a scandal related to financing of ALDE, probably the most Eurofanatic group in the European parliament. ALDE faced heavy accusations of being biased because of accepting donations from several big business corporations. A donor was an agrichemical giant Bayer-Monsanto, maker of the controversial pesticide glyphosate. Other donors include the Walt Disney Company, which would definitely like to get rid of the cultural exception clause, which has been introduced as part of trade agreements in order to protect and promote national languages and cultures. Corporate power leads to undemocratic Europe, which does not care neither about its citizen’s health nor cultural and linguistic diversity of Europe, as can be noticed from the scandal.
The European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT) has become the backbone of economic interests behind the EU. It is officially an advocacy group consisting of some 50 European industrial leaders working to strengthen competitiveness in Europe.
A former EU Commissioner for Industry, Étienne Davignon (1977-1985), thought that the EU would need a strengthened actor, which would influence the decision-making process with its expertise. Therefore, after his Commissioner career Davignon established with his partner the ERT. President of the European Commission Jacques Delors (1985-1994) facilitated an invasion of industrial lobbyists into the EU bureaucracy. With help of Delors, the ERT made itself a legitimate EU institution, which held a huge amount of influence. According to Olivier Hoedeman, a researcher of lobbying in the Corporate Europe Observatory, the Commission and the ERT worked hand in hand in order to create a common market and single currency in Europe. Moreover, the ERT had a significant role in the process that delivered the Maastricht Treaty.
The most ambitious projects of the ERT have eventually ended up as part of the EU politics executed during the Delors’ Commission and thus as part of the common market area strategy, euro, and everything that is related to what the EU is today. The ERT has been able to lobby neoliberal economic policies such as free trade, budget related economic austerity, privatization and elasticity of working life, as well as goals that equal wildest dreams of financial market actors such as the obligation of the Eurozone member states to borrow from private markets.
The European Roundtable of Industrialists has influenced the policy making process of the EU in a way that favours the richest of the society and concentrate the global wealth into fewer hands. The compatibility of the ERT plans to eventual policy implementation raises a question whether the political process is democratic at all or whether the whole process is dominated by the wealthiest and most influential. All federalist groups of the European Parliament from right to left are their servants.
The ERT’s former President Daniel Janssen said in 2000 as follows:
– On the one hand we are reducing power of the state and of the public sector in general through privatization and deregulation. On the other we are transferring many of the nation states’ powers to a more modern and internationally-minded at European level. European unification is progressing and it helps international businesses like ours.
The above-described system deprives nation states of sovereignty and makes the whole system undemocratic due to lack of democratic structures on the supranational level. This is not surprising because the EU was never expected by its founding fathers to be democratic. The plan of the grey eminence of the European integration, Frenchman Jean Monnet, was that the European integration is pushed forward outside of democratic framework and democracy will follow, if follows.
Monnet wanted centralist bureaucracy to unite European continent. A central idea of the so-called Monnet method was that integration goes on with help of political crises. As we have seen, the Eurozone crisis created circumstances that according to Eurofanatic federalists, demanded a creation of new structures of common decision-making. However, what it comes to migration crisis of 2015, nation states and peoples have been more awaken and reluctant to react in the way that EU elites wanted, mainly thanks to countries such as Hungary.
The multinational corporations behind the EU integration process do not want democracy to restrict their power. The European project does not tolerate referendums. Referendums of Denmark in 1992, 1993 and 2000, France in 2005, Ireland in 2005 and 2008, and that of Sweden in 2003 are all examples of referendums very much disliked by the Brussels bully boys and the EU elite. When people do not vote as the EU wants, a new “people’s” vote is required.
Citizen’s right to criticize political development have been diminished by new princliples of hate speech and political correctness. In fact, that is pure violation of citizen’s freedom of expression.
The European constitution as well as the single currency have been established to create an “ever closer union” i.e. to control the power of member states. According to Eurofanatic logics, the European project can only be saved by “more Europe”. The truth is that the Eurocrats are only happy when all sovereign national states have completely vanished.
EU Needs to Destroy Nations and Supress People in Order to Survive
The project to create the new European human being is constantly in action. According to the EU statistics, during the migrant crisis in 2015-16, more than 2.3 million illegal border crossings were detected. Only a few countries, most notably Hungary and Poland, refused to take any migrants. Since then, Hungary and Poland have faced several problems and they have been constantly under attack.
Hungary and Poland did the right thing, which has become evident after horrific terror acts in France, Belgium, Germany and many other countries, as well as due to a burden that humanitarian migration causes to European economies and societies it is clear that. Hungary and Poland did not accept something so heavily advocated by Merkel, Macron and all the EU elite, namely heavy islamization and radicalized individuals.
Lately, we have been used to see the EU elite using violence against the people willing to raise its voice to use the fundamental freedoms to protest the EU elites have managed their societies. Spain used very rough methods against Catalan voters but the EU remained extremely silent. Many people have been seriously injured and even lost their eyes during the yellow vest protests in France. Geneviève Legay, a 73-year-old anti-globalisation activist, suffered a fractured skull after riot police charged anti-government demonstrators in Nice. Macron has not been criticized by any EU leader by using too much force. Silence constitutes acceptance and some of the leaders of the “European project” certainly wish to test a European army against the demonstrators.
It is obvious that the EU army is not planned to protect Europe from the outside powers’ attacks. The EU army is there to protect Euroglobalist interests and the EU elite. One can be sure that in the future referendums or other democratic events in the member states might lead to a quick intervention of the EU army. A coup cannot definitely be excluded as one method. A strong military tool makes it possible to protect the EU elite and Eurocrats, too.
It is of paramount importance to understand that there are two groups of member states. Those who are profoundly and unconditionally committed to the European project and those who want to protect their sovereignty. In the latter case, the country is very likely subject to politically motivated and lengthy investigations by the EU commission. Those who obey humbly can do whatever they want as long as they do not undermine the objectives of the European project. Can you imagine the noise of the liberal Eurofanatics after Hungary’s Viktor Orbán using violence against protesters in a similar way to France’s Emmanuel Macron?
Europe Has to Be Saved by Breaking the Euroglobalist Dream
To sum it up, the EU is based on utopian ideas of common human kind, which run contrary to what the nature has created nations, peoples, languages and cultures. Because historically shaped nations and peoples are a geopolitical obstacle, which hinders centralisation of power, Europe has to get rid of them by mixing them up into a cocktail, in which there are only individuals, no more larger sense of community, which binds people together in the name of people or nation.
The EU elites have started to plead to the sense of patriotism, as an antithesis to nationalism, which stems from fellowship to communities based on human geographic units, such as ethnicity, language and culture. This has been emphasized by an arch Euroglobalist, French president Emmanuel Macron. A creation of European patriotism, following in tracks of Soviet patriotism, would enable the elites to overcome the obstacle created by nations and peoples.
A new European human being is needed to loosen fellowship between citizens of nation states, as a new Soviet human being was needed in the Soviet Union. That is why we have the continent full of politicians lobbying for mass migration, which at first glance seems totally foolish from economic and social point of view.
The EU is a common dream of internationalist left and corporatist right, in which the left gets its multiculturalist dream and the right gets rid of boundaries for business. This development deprives nation states of their sovereignty, without any willingness to create democratic structures in the European level. And how on earth there could be democracy in the European level, because in order to function properly, democracy always needs a demos, a people. In other words, the EU is an unholy alliance of the finance elite and the multiculturalist internationalist left.
Big business and financial elites are taking advantage of this vacuum. If this development continues long enough, big business and financial markets will be able to choose the political leaders on their own.
Fortunately, European nations and peoples have started to rebel against the power of economic and political elites. As long as democracy functions properly, European nationalists, the defenders of Real Europe, are winning.
Will the EU elite allow its political power to diminish according to rules of democracy? Prognostics for a stable and peaceful future do not seem good. As I have shown in this article, the EU was never meant to be a democratic project. The Eurofanatics have shown their willingness to trample upon democratic principles and referendum results. They are to an increasing extent violating citizen’s freedom of expression. Facebook has been put under pressure to limit political advertisements in order to fight political influencing campaigns. The real goal seems to be to fight the rise of sovereignism and EU critical forces.
How far are the EU elites ready to go in order to defend their power and privileges against their inevitable loss? I hope that I will never see those threats loaded on the planned establishment of the EU army to materialise in the same way that the security machinery of the Soviet Union was used against their own fellow citizens.
The Finns Party is ready to fight for the preservation of nations and their languages and cultures as a fundament of European civilization. Therefore, my party is ready to ally itself with our fellow nationalists from other European nation states in the European Parliament. Together with other patriotic movements we will turn around Europe’s direction.
